Abstract
The aim of this Classroom Action Experimental Research is to know the changing attitude of the students after implementing CSRT method. Christian Religious Education (CRE) at Duta Wacana Christian University (DWCU) emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach covering the fields of Sociology, Psychology, Theology, and Studies of Religions. Through CRE, students are expected to embrace inclusive and respectable attitudes as Indonesian citizens. How do CRE materials support the formation of inclusive and respectable attitudes? One of the teaching materials is the Interpretation of Scriptural Texts that are theoretically taken from the thoughts of John Hayes and Holladay in Biblical Exegesis, while the form of development of the theoretical interpretation exercise uses the “Cambridge Scriptural Reasoning Texts (CSRT)†method. The CSRT method was tested in one of the CRE classes as a “research sampleâ€. The finding shows that students’ insights and perspectives were more open after learning hermeneutics using the CSRT method.
