Membangun Generasi Alpha yang Seimbang: Peran Keluarga Kristen dalam Menghadapi Tantangan Gaya Hidup Sedentari

Abstract
This article critically analyzes the concept of religious moderation, which has become one of the Indonesian government’s strategic policies for peacebuilding within the context of religious pluralism. The ongoing religious conflicts that haunt the nation, coupled with state initiatives to manage diversity and the tensions between religious moderation and freedom of religion or belief, are key issues discussed in this article. The author employs qualitative research methods and conducts a literature study to gather data, including analyzing the book of Moderasi Beragama, published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which conceptualizes this idea. Further analysis is conducted on other relevant references, including literature on freedom of religion and belief, peacebuilding in religious pluralism, and related issues. The findings reveal that religious moderation, with its strengths, such as fostering a middle-path approach to religious expression (active moderation rather than passive), rejecting extremism and violence, and promoting inclusive religious texts, offers opportunities to support peacebuilding in the context of religious pluralism when implemented based on universal humanitarian values. By embracing tragedy, the victims transform into weavers of peace. However, the concept also faces critical challenges, including potential violations of freedom of religion or belief, as well as conceptual and practical limitations in addressing the root causes of complex religious conflicts. These include social injustice, poverty, restricted freedoms, lack of
access to education, discriminatory regulations, and various structural dimensions, which are the main drivers of conflict. Therefore, reconceptualizing and recontextualization of religious moderation are necessary to transform it into a solution rather than merely an illusion.

Fenomena gaya hidup sedentari semakin meluas di kalangan Generasi Alpha, dipicu oleh penggunaan teknologi digital yang berlebihan. Generasi ini tumbuh dalam lingkungan yang sangat terhubung dengan teknologi, sehingga memerlukan pendekatan pengasuhan yang berbeda dari generasi sebelumnya. Artikel ini mengkaji peran keluarga Kristen dalam membangun keseimbangan hidup bagi Generasi Alpha, dengan menyoroti pola asuh holistik yang mencakup aspek fisik, mental, sosial, dan spiritual. Pendekatan ini menekankan pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mengelola penggunaan teknologi, membatasi waktu layar, serta mendorong aktivitas fisik dan interaksi sosial yang sehat. Selain itu, konsep kecerdasan digital juga diperkenalkan sebagai strategi untuk membekali anak-anak dengan keterampilan yang diperlukan agar menjadi warga digital yang bertanggung jawab. Dengan kembali kepada “blueprint” pengajaran Kristiani, keluarga Kristen dapat memainkan peran strategis
dalam membentuk generasi yang seimbang, sehat, dan memiliki karakter yang kuat dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital.
