KEASINGAN UMAT TUHAN DALAM BEBERAPA TEKS PERJANJIAN LAMA

Abstract

This article wants to address the tension as well as interactionbetween “alienation” and “feeling at home” in its relation to the Land andthe role of the Divine. Several texts from the Old Testament are referred inorder to show the dynamics happened within that tension and interaction,as it starts from the creation story, moves to the patriarchy, then to the lifeof the Israel community as witnessed in the book of Deuternomy as wellas in the Exilic experience. This article summarizes that the attitudes andresponses of the people as reported in the biblical texts are various. In thelast part, we are informed that several texts in the Psalms have their own“strategy” in addressing to this discussion.
