Research in the area of medicine has pointed to the correlation betweenfood and human health. The issues discussed include the kinds of food whichaffect positively on health, and the methods of cooking which preserve theessential elements of food. Such a concept of good food and good cooking seemsto contradict our habit and culture of eating. This article is an attempt to provide atheological response to that contradiction, by correlating the problems of eatingwith the themes of freedom, salvation, love and self-controlled
