Abstract

Considering the large number of different interpretations of the Samson and Delilah narrative, particularly among feminist scholars, and suggesting that this variety reflects ambiguities within the text itself, this literary examination goes on to propose that the narrative is primarily about the power relationships between various individuals, nations, and deities, which in some sense can be compared with New Testament parables.
