MENIKAH? BAIK. TIDAK? LEBIH BAIK
Abstract
This article explores the response of Paul towards the tendency of living a celibate life among the Corinthian congregation. Throughout his responses, the apostle Paul shows his great appreciation to the marital life. He does not simply believe that marriage is good but it is part of divine order of creation as well. Nevertheless, he is not of the opinion that marriage is a final-legal obligation to all unconditionally. Regardless of his high respect to marital life, he believes that everyone has his/her own right either to marry or to live a single life. The latter option however, has to be entered to base on charisma possession that will equip someone with self-control. More importantly, the decision to live a single life needs to be dedicated particularly for the service of the Lord.Downloads
