Abstract

This article points to  three themes in Mk 7:24-30. The first theme is a Non-Jewish woman begging Jesus to cast a demon out of her daughter. The second is the  response of Jesus first, rejecting the request and then healing the child. The third theme is the use of “dog” for non-Jews. What follows is a socio-ideological interpretation
