Abstract
This article tries to reflect the practices of the Roman Catholic lectionary. It starts from the data of scriptural readings offered for Sundays, which is organized as three years cycle. The celebration of the whole year is based on the events of Jesus, his birth, his life and works, his suffering, death and resurrection. The construction of the lectionary expresses Christian way of proceeding, namely Trinitarian Spirituality. The ministry of the word of God should help the community to meet Christ here and now.
