Abstract
There is no religion without symbol. Religion expresses a deep meaning of reality symbolically. For that reason, it is interesting to understand a role of symbol in religious life, especially in the context of social circumstances. This paper elaborates the effectiveness of the symbol in the religious life and the role of the religious leader to communicate it. Religious leader has dominant role to interpret a meaning of religious symbol.
