Abstract
This study is a Christological study on the suff ering of Christians based on the phenomenon of the burning and demolishing of churches in Aceh Singkil by using Choan Seng Song’s perspective as a theoretical framework. This study uses a qualitative approach among others by conducting interviews with several key informants to obtain field data related to violence and a collective dark memory. This study aims to understand the presence of God in the context of the suffering of Christians in Aceh Singkil and seeks a solution to transform the collective dark memory in the prototype memory of the crucified Jesus as a crucified society.
